    Default major light issues!

    hey guys when i turn my headlights on, all the lights on my dash and lcds turn off, if i open my glovebox or turn my foglight on...my aircon turns on!? hasnt anyone ever had this issue before? im at whits end..ive replaced all the fuses in the fusebox

    Because that will fix it.....

    Sounds like you might have a grounding issue somewhere. Grab a circuit diagram and go from there.

    Think back to what you did to the car before this happened - did you have the dash out...or maybe played with some electrical component.....the answer will lie there.

    ended up being fuse #1 under the steering column...cant believe 1 fuse can make the car play up sooo badly. btw the car wasnt touched..was just driving along..went to turn the lights on and bam!

    Fuses do not blow for no reason! I'd try and track down why it blew before it happens again at midnite in a bad part of town when it raining and you have no torch...
    Pulling that fuse should not cause the problems you reported so there must be something dodgy there.

    oh no, it will. fuse 1 is a main power feed. if this isn't live, things start earthing back via other things in that circuit.

    yer fuse #1 is a big issue....
