    Default my vr ute v6 - v8 conversion and project

    This is what i started with

    well ive pulled the v6 out of it and the v8 outta my doonor wagon and sent the v8 down to the boys at pavtek and had my 304 turned into 355 stroker and its sitting on a pallet

    it took me a couple of weeks to get the back of the ute as far as it is now its got 4 12 inch rockford fosgate subs run by 2 1000W rockford mono blocks along with 2 rockford 6 by 9's powered by a 4 chnl rockford 300W amp and 2 back up battery to power it up the main battery has also been relocated to the rear aswell using an abr sidewinder dual battery isolator to keep the main charged

    All the relays and fuses from the engine bay have been relocated to just under the glove box

    ive stripped the engine bay back and cleaned all the pipes and hoses up so everythings neats and have started to bog and smoothen every out

    ive worked a little on the interior puting vinyl and foam on the back wall making a custom top shelf box for the four 6 by 9's that are on it all rockford of corse and did a start on the roof lining puting a skull in it

    Wow looks heaps nice... Actually just about to start a 383 for my vs sedan we do a lot of engine work at our shop so get to do a lot of the machining myself (hoping to keep costs down a bit haha) if you dont mind me asking what did ya end up getting the 355 done for?

    Nice, very unsure on the interior colour maybe a little bright! Why the 6/9s in wall? Will blow your ears out not to mention 6 inch splits and subs would sound far better

    yer it looks bright aye but when its in the car it just seems to be perfect and im not sure bout the speakers aye i was tlking to 1 of my mates that does car sound system and said that would be the way to go like its got the 12 inch sub in the wall undewr the 6x9's and yer i spose its just for clear sound outta them instead of bass

    Oval speakers distort at loud volumes. You will only get clear sound from them until you crank it, unless you have them on a High Pass Filter. Keep all bass away from them if you can if you don't want them sounding hollow. This is how I understand it, anyway.
