I intend to replace the rear bump stops on my 2000 VS ute. The driver side stop is nearly torn off.
Is there any handy hints to make removal hassle free!! all suggestions welcome.
is ur ute IRS or live axle?
if its IRS remove the handbrake as it holds up the rear end, which will make life hard to remove the springs to swap the bump stops.
but it should be easy enough
the vg-vs ute bumpstops are help in place with a retaining plate and 3 13mm retaining bolts that bolt to the chassis, undo the bolts and take off the bumpstop/retaining plate and the bumpstop pushes out of the retaining plate and you push a new one in and bolt it back up. if its lowered you can get shortened bumpstops from pedders, nolathane, whiteline and superpro.
