Can anyone recommend some heaps heaps low rear solid axle springs for a VS ? pretty much i want it to be sitting on the rim or tucking rim on 19s ?
Cheers
Don't search the JC community love saying the same thing over and over again. Ultra lows will probably be what your after. Legality wise not sure.

yea i been told that but i dont wanna buy a set then be to high ill be pissed!
so this might sound dogey.. haha
mate had SL's in his VS with solid rear end Sat about 15-20mm above tyre
brought it round here pulled SL's out of my crashed vr sat Tyre sidewall was 2/3 tucked on 18's
difference was 3 coils we chopped off - Was only temporary to decide on what springs he wanted
yea i had stock springs my mate chopped only had 3 coils on the spring and it sat on the inner guard a good half of the rim was in the guard.. looked tuff as but couldnt drive it didnt move to much rubbing lol.. i want it a little higher then that.. does any1 know in ( mm ) how low ultra lows are ?
You could try gettin some springs and if they are not long enough go to your local spring works and get them compressed more!
or bag after bag of cement, or slowy add some sort of weght to the car till your happy, find out how much mm it is then you can use the kingsprings chart to see what ones would be best
Ultras say 60-70mm
Wow dodgy people in this thread. How about another idea. Don't be stupid get proper springs. Ultra low is about as low as you can go legally so why bother going any lower.

Who's dodgy?
You for a start. Compressing springs is a stupid idea.

King Springs Super low front and rear with Monroe GT sport lowered shock. On a vr with live axle, tucks tyre. You obviously want lower so go with ultra lows.
Don't expect a comfortable ride though.
Springs are made with a specific amount of recoil for lack of a better term. By compressing a spring your making it operate outside of it's original design specification.

lol nothing can compare to the ride on chopped stock springs... shittest thing ever!! and yea my mate has a set of ultra lows and it sat to high still... i dont care about being legal or not wheres the fun in it being all legal and not running the risk of getting defected ? no fun!! just want it to be slammed and look mint

I had a mate with SSL's in his VR wagon. Pretty much sat on the bumpstops. Rode like absolute shit, ####ed up his entire rear suspension from going over bumps and potholes and ended up cracking his chassis one day.
Not to mention you look like an absolute wanker dragging ass. If you wanna go extremely low get bags.
