Put a VT harmonic balancer, and censor, into my VR...and now it rumbles, vibrates?
Hey all,
My harmonic balancer went, at the worst time as it happens...my car is a VR but a friend has put in a VT balancer and censor and says thats fine...
The car seems to run fine, as good as ever, but in idle it has this rumble kind of vibration and is rough...is the VT one not compatiable for my VR? Is there something i could do, something thats out? or just chuck out the VT balancer and replace again with VR?
Please help! Any comments would be appreciated thanks

Pretty sure the Ecotec balancer is different to the VR Buick motor....check what Ebay say.
Just checked Ebay and they show VS onwards are a specific item ....memory tells me something about the reluctor teeth???...also think they can hit and impact the CAS.

Ecotec is balanced differently to the VR motor.
