Default Factory VR V6 manual, clutch cable issue.

Hello folks. Have just broken a second clutch cable in 15 months. This is not normal right?
Had a mechanic replace the clutch disc nearly 2 years ago.
It has extractors and I wonder if they put too much heat into the cable housing.
Advice or direction would be grand.
    Cheers

Common promblem with excessive heat on the cable , wrap the cable with heat sheilding or a high temp sleeve will help the cable to last longer ,
