    Default car is squeeking like crazy?

    i have a 95 vs and somewhere on the belt its squeeking like mad, ive replaced most pullys its still there, would it most likely be water pump or belt do use reckon?

    have you replaced the belt? could be that the belt has perrished and is glassy. easy way to find out would be to buy a new belt and try it. just bought one for my vr v6 for $19.99 at repco

    yes tyre shine does stop the squeek but then comes back when u rev her up abit

    my parants vy belt was fine untill we replaced the harmonic balancer then staraight away it started squeaking like ####!! cleaned belt and pullys etc but nothing cured it untill we replaced the belt

    For noisey belts, i hit them with a wire brush with the engine running,do both sides. It takes the coat of crap that builds up on them off.

    thanks timc i will do that caus ei was going to tightin it....... but you cant tighten em on those engines so i thought next thing so yea ill try wire brush

    James is right. REPLACE THE BELT!!! or do u wanna cook your car and kill your battery? cos thats what will happen if u snap the belt. plus the loss of power steering
