auto 1995 vs calais with a 6hdd auto in it does this mean a 7hdd will fit

the only reason i ask is because i have been told that 5hdd 6hdd and 7hdd arent the same. and then others have told me it will fit. i have a 7hdd just sitting there untill i am 100 percent sure it will fit and work before pulling my 6hdd out

Itll Fit.. My car came with a 7HDD, I not have a 6HDD in it. The difference is the lines, youll need to change the line adapters over on the boxes to make it work.

I believe the 6hdd is series 1 and the 7 hdd is series 2.

Series 2 VS had an upgrade to the valve body. IIRC to do with the oil passage and control solenoid to the converter clutch.

As above, it will fit.
