Im turboing my vs statesman and im sorta following a fourm post from a guy who did it.
Now im having trouble with a place to put the alternator,
Is there another way to run the power stearing pump? Electric maby so i can get rid of the stock one?? This would be a sutable solution if it is do able ?
Photo of my white stato and one of the guy im copying.
You can keep the alt there.. or lose the a/c and run it in that position
I have lost the air con all ready for headers to be turned around and doing the same on the other side other wise there is no room for the dump pipe due to the rails pictured
You don't have to face the drivers header forward, you can either run the crossover around the back of the engine or use a short radius 90 at the flange and go forward that's how I did it ad I still run my a/c in the factory spot, you won't fit a big enough dump trying to squeeze past the chassis rail, just run it behind the strut tower and cut a hole there is nothing structurally wrong in doing so. You really want a 3.5" dump minimum.
Got any better pics of it installed so we could get an idea of the room. Even a pic from directly of the engine left and right hand side.
Do u have any pics of your set up? How can i find what is structural and what can be cut? The plan is to have both headers push forward into the turbo but im open to sajestions? There isnt much room.
