hi
what gives the deep sound in a sports exhaust and also isnt too loud and/or has the barking sound revving but just gives a nice deep note taking off
2.5 inch pipe?
rear and middle muffler?
rear, middle muffler and also hotdog in the middle section?
middle muffler and straight rear tail pipe with a hotdog in the rear pipe?
High flow cat?
Extractors?
Ive got a Redback 2 1/2" catback with a centre muffler and rear resonator.
Its not very loud but it does have a somewhat deep note when the revs are low and its under load, so yeah taking off it has the deep note.
I dont have extractors yet, but they may make it sound deeper??? I dunno tbh.
The thing that makes the note deeper is larger pipe and a large bodied resonator on the rear.
Fitting a high flow cat makes it louder and more raspy.
Fitting extractors improves acceleration and doesn't affect the note that dramatically on a V6, although they do make it more distinct and pronounced.
The deepest note without raspiness or drone is achieved by 2 1/2" piping with front muffler and a large rear resonator.
does a hotdog at the back and/or another one in the middle give the deep quite sound
No.
however, if you fit a hotdog to the rear if it just has a tail pipe, then it will make it slightly deeper than it was before, but not much.
gut the cat, install 2 1/2" cat back, than as you down change exhaust constantly pops(my old toyota lexcen had it before i got rid of it) - i went through 2 gearboxes, but it was worth it lol
back on topic,
i think hi-flow cat 2 1/2" from the cat back without resonator is a good combo..

NEED 3.9 or 3.7 DIFF GEARS, PM ME IF YOU KNOW OF ANY
Bro I dont even have a cat, gave the exhaust man $40 to rip it out. Sounds goood and goe way better.
When you say without resonator, do you mean with a muffler still? because that can give you bad resonance ( now do you know why the call it a resonator?) its that bad vibrating sound. But one single muffler out the back would sound okay
