    Default Code 31

Okay, so I have read "some" (I am not going to claim all, that would be a lie :P) of the Code 31 threads but none of them really apply to me, unless, of course, the one I overlooked had the information in there. Has anybody ever experienced a code 31 followed by complete sluggish-ness of their car?

I have been getting the code for 2 days now and every time I get it, my car performs like it's in LHM until I turn it off. I have a paper clip with me in my car at all times (You get used to having to need one ) and I always test when I get a CEL.. The LHM code never appears but the 31 for the stupid TD signal missing one always shows up.

Anybody keen to shed some light as to why this would be happening?

have you tried resetting yur ecu? and what are your revs like once you get going? try taking off in LOW and see if the takeoff imporves.

Yup, I've tried. Doesn't seem to work. The code just comes back (Always while I am idling through a car park though or at lights, etc). The Revs are fine once I get moving but I can still feel some sort of resistance to my prompts on the throttle. Usually the response is almost instant (Not with acceleration, the car is old so I don't expect much) but the revs usually rise straight away even with slight movement on the pedal, but not while this code is appearing.

The gears operate as normal, it's just initial take off and general acceleration that is being affected. Which is why it's confusing me so much :\

The box was reco'd not long ago. It wouldn't surprise me if something has stuffed up already, though.

Is your remote working? Have you tried to use your spare remote/key (assuming you have one).

Remote works fine. My secondary key doesn't have an unlock button / the battery is flat and the same thing happens with that key aswell.
