Default 308 carby into vs commodore?

Hey guys. Just wanted to know how hard it is do a proper conversion. What parts and cross members and stuff needs to be changed and all that, obviously it's not going to be road regod, just want a cool project and I've the bits, just need some extra info to get me started.

Anyone know anyone who's undertaken it? If anyone could shed some light as a good place to start would be very helpful, thanks

can be done very easily but its not legal which means u can't legally register it or insure it but if your not putting it on the road then go for it, carby's are way better IMO

Why not use something like a Torque Power hi-rise 4 barrel manifold & EFI Hardware 4 barrel throttle body on existing EFI heads. A lot simpler.

As above, but you can still use the ecu for spark only, pull the fuel pumps out and run carby on the torque power manifold.
If used on the street, the only way you'll be legal with out the fuel injection on a carby manifold is to run straight gas.

Just before anybody else replies, this is the motor/trans combo that was in Ari's (Ari666) VK, so it's already had all the shit done to it that it needs to.

Nathan, just buy a 6 cylinder VK or VH or something and drop the motor in. It's a waste of a good motor combo not putting it to real use.

Because the motor's already fully built

It's already got an MSD Ignition system.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

Hey sabbath, that Vks gone, tried to be it roadied 3 times and it failed every time for the boot, parcel shelf, and all the rear end welding. And the blokes I spoke to wanted atleast $300-$400 for a dodgey and I didn't really want to do that anyway. I've still got the motor (clearly) but that's all that remains, all the ignition stuff, and the shell in it's entirety is gone.

I've been on the look out for a good starter base Vk or vh sle shell since I bought Ari's but I havnt found anything really worth the cash people were asking, or the cara I went to look at we're rooted too. Vicious cycle of fail.
