Hi All
Its been a while since ive been on these forums but i am back in a commodore.
After owning a Silvia (engine blew, i rebuilt it then got very bored of it)...i purchased a VS statesman L67 Auto. Its in great condition BUT:
The cruise control doesn't seem to be working.
The guy i bought it off said he replaced the stalk - so when im cruising, i click CRS on and the green light comes on.
How the hell do i activate the cruise control so it takes over? Do i click Set?
If so, it doesnt seem to be activating.
Any ideas?
Yep, when cruise is turned on, just push "set" and it should go into cruise mode. Id be checking the brake light switch adjustment down near the brake pedal as it is also a cruise cancel switch. Theres also a secondary backup cruise cancel switch just above the brake/cruise cancel switch. If these switches get out of adjustment, it will keep cancelling the cruise control when you try to set it.. Also cruise wont set below 40 kph..
Ok no worries.
I definately was over 40 when i tried.
The thing was when i was pressing 'Set' nothing happened at all.
Ill check those switches and see how it goes. If these were the issue, would CC activate but then turn off? Or would it just not work at all?
It wont set at all if the switches are out of adjustment. It may momentarliy flash up the "cruise set" light on the dash as you push the set button, but im not too sure, you would have to check that out.
