whats the amperage of the vs and vt alternators and do vt alternators have more amps than vs alternators
will a vs altenator cope with au thermo fans

my vt series one was 90 amp...... im guessing with this but been an ecotec engine they may be the same
i now have a 120 amp police issue one
stroking is fine but id rather be blown
whats your reason for going with au thermos? is your car a v8? i think you should be fine with the standard alternator
Real cars are steel cars.
IIRC VS is 90A and VT is 100A.
As you are replacing one thermo fan for two and they only cycle on and off (and switch off above 55kph), I cant see the 10A making much difference.
Back in the 'good ole days' we found the larger amp alternators had lower output to standard ones at idle speed. Needed a few revs to get any benefit. I wonder if this is still the same?
