help with engine covers

Hey guys, first post so apologies if it's not the best haha. I have just bought a 93 VR V8 and it didn't have the engine covers on when I bought it. I have just had them chromed and when I went to fit them I realized there are two black pipes in the way. I can put the engine cover over one (the left hand side) and around on the other but don't want to do it if it may damage them. Any advice would be wicked. Thanks guys. I'm English and moved here a few years ago, and how could I say no to a V8 haha

Can you take a photo ? Do you have the you shaped engine covers ? You can usually move it out of the way and fit them on.
