Default modifiying alternator wireing for morw volts...how?

hi i found this and was wondering how it works and how i could make one of my own if it actually does work? or is it just a scam and you really shouldnt do it?
Increase the Voltage on your Car by 0.5-0.8 volts depending on electrical loadand engine rpm. Good for those with Big Stereos or High Wattage Lights which place extra strain on the Altenator and Battery. This Voltage Increase Kit will Boost ...
    cheers

massive ripoff when it is just a single diode that cost less than a dollar in the voltage sense wire.

can't hurt to do it, half a volt can make quite a difference under load.

but u dont want volts, u want amperage. amps are the more important thing in electricity. its y ppl can be struck by lightening and still survive. u can be zapped by a trillion volts of electricity and as long as the amps are below 0.33A or 33 milliamps you can survive. thats all it takes 0.33 of an amp. crazy huh

Dr. 304, capacitors regulate the current running through them. it means that with a capacitor you have a discharge rate and instead of the fluctuations you would get when turning on and off things in your car eg headlights, subs, you would get a constant current. it helps prevent damage. it can also be used if you experience whining through your stereo system to stop it as the whining is the fluctuations.

I did exactly the same thing about the same time actually. In Perth no less. Capacitors are band aid solutions.
