    Default i know wat your thinking

    your thinkin oh no not him again lol soz ppl its tru. i wanna upgrade my dash to lvl 3. i am aware of many many how-to's and posts on the topic. thats not y im here.

    im here to ask if i would need to do the rewiring for the extra harness in my 94 vr series 2 acclaim?

    and also im looking at lvl 3 clusters on ebay and found this one. HOLDEN VR,VS CALAIS/HSV/COMMODORE-LEVEL 3 DIGITAL DASH/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER-V6 | eBay

    w
    hat do ppl think? should i go for it?

    and also where does the trip computer controls plug into? the old speed alert connector or a new one off the lvl3 wiring harnes?

    You can change the whole dash loom (so much more work and parts needed), you can wiring in the 2 new plugs (if you have a level 3 loom) or you can buy a patch loom.

    ok. so basically you take the 2 connectors off the lvl 3 harness and connect each wire to the same color one on the lvl 2 harness. am i right?

    @seq4x4, looking at that diagram is that looking from the front or the bcak? and is connector 1 ont the left or the right?

    undo the fuse cover panel under the steering wheel and look up to the right side roughly inline with the cluster, is the white connector there and not in use? you may be one of the lucky ones and not have to wire anything up

    nope not there and there is only the 3 hazard/rear window/ ac harnesses + the overspeed alert harness. damn it

    yea well i probably wouldnt have even thought to check lol. btw, i had an idea. i can use the dash harness off of the wrecker i go out the back to wire up and then without removing the original one from my car i can test if it works outa the car. lol am i a genius or wat? pmsl

    yep thats it along with one long yellow/black wire with a lug that goes across the dash into a spare space in a connector yb62 near the ecm .

    which connector cos i got your diagram from tripin and i think the other wire is ment to go to the harness in the ecu according to that. lol
