Stalled the started
Problem is I have a 95 vs 5L caprice
Driving for a while in the heat and then she just dies try to start it again and it will spit and sputter leave it for 10-15 mins a any she start and runs like a dreams can anyone give me a remadey to this problem please
Sounds like a problem with fuel... Does the car cough and stutter when it dies while driving?
Not that I notice but even when it has stopped tried starting it again starts cough stutters then I left it for 10-15 mins and all was good
Have you replaced the fuel pressure reg before on it? I had a similar issue with my VR but it did end up starting, just with a big puff of rich fumes
Just got it so no and there was no puff of smoke when she started again she started like nothing had happen

Check error codes. Sound like a failing CAS to me.

V8's do not have a CAS
Sounds like your ignition module (silver box on passenger side strut tower) might be getting ready to fail. Easy to replace. Used and reconditioned modules are available on eBay and places like Repco etc. have reconditioned modules. Other people have suggested that next time this happens you can try turning the engine off and then pour water over the ignition module before turning it on again. If it's the ignition module being heat affected it should start straight away without you having to wait 15 mins. However, I haven't tried this myself.
