    Default Vr wagon exhausts

Been doing research on exhausts for my first commodore, What im after is something to give it a nice sounding exhaust.

Is it worth looking at exhauts on ebay, or go to an exhausts workshop and ask for a quote?

I have found a SUPERCAT MANDREL BENT SINGLE 2.5 INCH exhaust on ebay Here is a link, eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d

Is this worth the price? Will i geta better sounding exhaust buying this?

As you can tell i am not a rev head and have basic knowledge about these cars, any help will be a MAJOR help, thanks alot guys!

I had supercat. Hated the sound. Was so raspy. I have a link to PM a guy who does exhausts on here. Very good prices and knows what sounds good.
Welcome to the internet where people have opinions that you might not like

I have a VR V6 wagoon too, and with extractors, normal cat' and a cheapo larger exhaust pipe and 'boxes it sounds pretty good. Almost no rasp and even a slight V8 tone at idle and low rev It's hardly your high-flo system but it's better than stock and cheap!
Make sure you drive your car around a bit after having a bigger system fitted and check that it does not tap against your fuel tank or other parts around the rear axle.
Mine did cos the car is lowered.....actually dumped....and has a cheapo exhaust....but, it doesn't tap any more...cos I backed into something with the rear box just hard enough that it musta bent a little and hey presto! Lucky.
And I must add that a RASPY V6 exhaust noise is the worst engine sound on the planet...except for cop cars.
