Would the aribag from a VR/VS still be functional ? Don't they have a limitted lifetime..
Has anyone on here crashed a VS lately and had the bag pop out ?

well if it wasnt functioning then the airbag light would be on as it does a self check every time you start the car up

are you saying you think that little light on the dash does a chemical check of the reactive ingredients in the bag every time you start your car to check if they have gone stale ?
The self check just checks the circuitry brudda. They could last for centuries, i'm just asking as i know mine didn't go off when i wanted it too!!

No I'm just saying that if the test doesn't work my car won't get a wof I'm guessing the wof is like a road worthy we have to get them every 6 months in nz so I need to fit a air bag to keep the car legal its not like I'm ever intending using the air bag

yeah ok, a roadworthy is fine, doesn't matter if it works or not to get past the test. So long as you don't hit something solid someday..

I have fired airbags so they can be disposed of safely, as they are basically an unexploded bomb.

Never had one not go off, even at greater than ten years of age.

Better with one that may work than not have one at all.
