    Default oil leak

    hey guys i got a oil leak down near where the c a s is how long till id have to change the c a s roughly cheers

    The CAS is a sealed unit so in theory oil should not affect it....any oil that gets on the harmonic balancer which has the segments which trigger the CAS should be flung off due to centrifugal force.

    well i jacked it up and had a look and its leaking from above the sump at the front of the motor but its not leaking on ti the bellts the guy i brought it off said it was the c a s but to fix it was a little seal but it takes ages cause you gotta pull the harmonic balancer off so does that make sence to any1 as im just learnig bits and peices cheers

    Yeah its your front crank seal leaking. Its not a hard job to fix, if you know what you are doing and have the right tools etc.

    I wouldnt worry about it personally, unless its staining your driveawy
