I got this car a few months ago and I found this site. I would love to know of some mods to do to it! I've already put some 17" VX SS wheels on.
I'll get some pics up soon

Thanks man. Any mods you would recommend? Keep in mind that because of these stupid SA P plate laws I can't add any engine, exhaust mods :/
Welcome to the site...looks to be in pretty good condition.

Welcome
Looks really clean mate. If you're not keen on power mods then I'd be fitting some better suspension and brakes. King Spring lows, Whiteline swaybars, link pins, bushes, and a VT brake upgrade. If they are the standard shocks they are probably overdue to be replaced as well, same with most of the bushes I'd guess.
You could do some sly power mods such as getting a retuned memcal and some roller rockers. No one but you will know lol
Well I was planning on lowering it soon. My cousin recommended Aurora Springs and they can powder coat it any colour I want. Also thinking about getting the brake calipers painted red. Will I need different shocks with the new springs?
Aurora Springs seem pretty good. I wouldn't worry about getting them powder coated because you will hardly ever see them and they won't stay clean haha. Also when you say getting the callipers painted, do you mean not doing it yourself? And as for the shocks, I'm not sure. Compare the Aurora Spring heights to the King Spring heights, if they are equal to standard or lows, then you don't need new shocks unless your old ones are screwed. Anything lower than just low it is recommended to fit shortened shocks.
Sucks you cant do any good mods, good thing i moved to WA and bought a v8 haha! Do some interior work and a nice sound system is always good. Suspension is a good idea too
Ah ok. Well I don't know much about cars and I have no one to help me with it...
I know the lower legal height for my car because I called up the transport department and asked them. The guy also told me how to measure the height.
The lowest is 360mm front, 350mm back and 100mm from the lowest point of the car.
Haha yeah it's annoying, lucky you! I don't want to spend massive amounts on it. I kinda want to keep it stock and I want to save most of my money for a V8 for when I get off my P's. I know there's probably no point in me being on here since I'm going to be doing very little to it.
If you're staying legal height it's really not going to be any lower than it is now....which means standard shocks will be fine, depending on condition, and Kings Lows or Aurora Springs equivalent would be the go. Same height as now but firmer. I'd dare say Kings will be cheaper so you might as well just grab some of them from your local parts store, and some aftermarket front swaybar link pins since they are cheap, and chuck them in. Then you can check all the bushes.
Personally I like SuperPro bushes, they make a link pin kit. So do Nolathane.
So you reckon it wont be very noticeable with height? Also what do the bushes look like?
