    Default VS Running Rough??

    Hey Guys,
I hope someone will be able to help me out. I own a VS commodore Ute which has about 260000km on it. Up until about 6 months ago it has been running great and i have had no problems with it. Since then though, there has been a number of things go wrong with it or parts needing replacement.

Anyway, my latest problem seems to be that at low revs and when accelerating the car seems like it is struggling/coughing. It doesnt stall or anything, but just seems like it could at any second. Once i am at my desired speed, there are no issues, but just when accelarating.

I dont have any real "car smarts" but is that a miss?? Or could it me dirty injectors??

Any advice on what is wrong and how i could fix it would be really appreciated.

    Cheers

    1. Check the o2 sensor on the exhaust
    2. Check the ecu for codes
If either of them are ok then you could be looking at injectors spark and fuel pump

Cars are s hassle aren't they? Lol

First things first I would be checking error codes, I suspect that it'll be plugs or leads, the ecotecs splutter under load when the leads have degraded.

Would be good to know if you find the problem. My old mans vs ute has done this for the last 3 years and has made no change. He won't let me near the ute to have a look but whinges about it all the time.

    Checking error codes VR/VS (Revised)
this should help you out and this
Just Commodores - For All Your Holden Commodore Needs will help you when you find some cos it should show an error. basically just count the 2 lot of flashes. first is 10's ex 4 x flash means 40, second lot is 1's eg 4 x 1st flash + 4 x second flashes = 44. the flashes are seperated by about a second pause and the codes are repeated 3 times. so you will have 12 3 times, then 1st code, 2nd code ect ect... and then it will flash 12 again after it has shown all codes. hope this helps
