VN V6 compressor fit a VS V6 compressor

Hey Guys,

Quick question, does the air conditioning compressor from a VN V6 or V8 commodore fit a VS V6 commodore? The models aren't that far apart but the compressor might be different. Does anyone know for sure?

Ecotec and Buick are a little different not sure but it might fit

Yeah I wasn't sure as the engines are different, thought there could be a chance though. Just getting mine replaced and a mate said he had a brad new compressor for a VN he owned but never used sitting in his shed and I wondered if it might fit so it could save me some dollars.

They didnt change much in the engines so it should bolt on check to make sure all the pipes line up and has the same amount of wires coming from it

Also you compressor may still be fine because if it's low on gas it won't work because of the low pressure switch

Nah, it's in being serviced by an air con specialist so if he says its rooted Id say it would be. I just wanted to know cos I could just get the compressor off my mate and give it to the air con guy to fit, to save on the parts cost. I think I'll just give the a/c guy a ring tomorrow and ask him to see if it fits, I'd say he would know.
