Hi, I have a manual 5.0 V8 VR ute. The clutch pedal is incredibly hard to push in. The gear changes are fine, there's no odd sounds or rattling coming and no other problems that I can tell.
What could be the cause of this? I've done some searching and it could be the clutch spring or clutch cable. I'm not 100% sure though. Any other problems it could be or any ideas on how to fix it?

I would say a worn or poorly lubricated cable.
They do fail after a while so i would just replace it and see if it improves.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?
if you have just bought the car or its always been like it it could simply be just a heavy duty clutch my old t5 Wagon had a Exedy heavy duty in it and that was stiff as ev en with a new cable

Cheers for the replies fellas. I'll check out the clutch cable. I wish it was just a heavy clutch but the car is almost undrivable due to the pedal. It takes a lot of force to push it in.
