Hey all I've just joined the commodore community and bought a VS Calais S2 L67.
Some mods done so far when I bought it:
*Pod filter (needs a shroud)
*14psi snout-pulley
*bosh injectors
*upgraded fuel pump
*top gun leads and better plugs
*cat back 2.5" exhaust
*18" shadow chrome wheels
*lowered (I don't know how much)
* & full pioneer stereo
I will put pics up soon, just a few questions
Firstly the A/C compressor won't kick in when the climate control is turned on, it looks like all wires are on and correct so I don't know now.
Secondly when I'm driving along at about 60-70 kph if I don't use the cruise control the gearbox seems to kick down a gear and then straight away go back into top gear its really annoying and bad on fuel, oil is all good in auto and I'm thinking of doing a full service on the box.
Any suggestions would be a great help please
What mods have you done to run the 14psi pulley?
Everything was done when I bought it so I don't know what internal mods are done if any, I only bought the car a week ago.
I am driving in drive and it kicks down automaticly and then goes back into top gear
Have you checked for error codes?
MY WEAPON: http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/...ng-10-psi.html
NEED 3.9 or 3.7 DIFF GEARS, PM ME IF YOU KNOW OF ANY
have you laid a good skid in it yet?that should clear the errors codes lol.
re Climate Control, there's a built in test guide around here somewhere, one of the tests attempts to turn on the compressor. Get it into that mode and then work backwards from the compressor with the multimeter.
i have the same problem but mine seems to be isolated to cornering and up steep hills(under extra load?????????????). still got me baffled
Could it be the TPS? I have read in the owners manuel that full throttle cuts out the a/c. maybe this is the reasons for the erratic gear changes and bad fuel economy?
My ride-VS commo, Just finishing the manual conversion. Working out those annoying bits!
IV just done a full auto service and put in some nulon additive and it still kicks down but not as bad, just another quick question how hard is the coupler in the supercharger snout to change and can it be done in the back shed with basic tools.
How hard is it to change over to VY-VZ power window switches front and rear ones.
