all depends on what you mean by custom, different colour or a pattern imbossed

If just a different colour try a motor trimmer there is a guy in Wyong that does good work - not sure how much he would charge as I just got the material off him

There is a mobile guy getting around the coast as well sorry cannot remember the name on his van

If you want an imbossed one I would still try a good auto trimmer bit you might need to look for someone in Newcastle or Sydney

Easy enough to do, just time, patience and some material. Much more satisfying doing it urself. Plus hella of a lot cheaper.

if your just changing the material, i went to spotlight and chose a blue swade material 148cm wide x 2m long, clark rubber for 6mm thick foam ( couldnt get same width so i got 4m worth) and autobarn for spray on vinyl adhesive (2 cans)
all up it cost me around $100 and 3 hours (with a carton of crowns).

start off by taking ur review mirror off, roof handles, sun visors, interior light and start taking one end of the roof down first,
lay the front seats all the way back coz they will get in the way, once you bring the roof down take it out through the front door (it'll be a squeez) but youll get it,
lay the cardboard on the floor and scrape off all the old foam with a scraper and wire brush, once it's clean get your foam ready and spray both the foam and the board with adhesive,
wait for five mins the roll the foam out onto it? best to use a paint roller or something to make sure it's smoothes out properly, once the board is covered with foam give the foam and the material a spray with adheasive and wait for it to be tacky, DO NOT spay alot on the material otherwise it will distort the side you will see when it's done. lay it out and use the roller to roll it into the grooves.

take your time with it as you dont want the material to crease when smooting it out coz it's hard to fix up, and make sure you leave some material over lapping the edges so you can fold it over to the other side,
once you have done that let it dry for a while then get a stanley knife and scissors and cut out the holes so you can intall the handles and mirror ect once you put it back in.

put it in the same way you got it out, try and get a mate to help you, then fold the door seals and strippng back on the edges and there you have it, new roof..

id put pics up on here but i cant figure out how to make them smaller for it to work. hope this helps yas

I did a custom job on my old VS ute. Had this idea about the whole decoupage thing that some people do for boxes etc. So bought a bunch of shirts with skulls, cars, devils etc on them, ripped the original material off the lining, sealed it then cut out the pics and wanted and glued em all on. Was then just a matter of few coats of varnish, quick sand then repeat until the whole thing looks like 1 big artwork and you cant feel lines. Turned out friggin awesome

That looks epic!!!!! I am surprised more people dont get into the whole custom roof lining thing. Although I didnt realise there was money to be made so I might have to buy a few and have a play around to see what I can achieve. Wouldnt mind something like thing for my beast though maybe something a lil more subtle than green lol

Keen for pics of the skull one when you're done. Do you actually put them in your car or just doing them now to sell? My apologies for hyjacking the thread Blake95 btw
