Avo guys,
This is more for just curiosity sake but wtf is this part called?
I was removing my rear bar to fix up some paint chips and i had a piece of perished fuel hose fall out. So i dug further and found that there was the main filler neck, plus another half inch which looks like an over flow, followed by this black thing that has 4 outlets yet no hoses attached...
Im guessing that the 2 small outlets around the fuel mouth uptop hook up to this thing and then the 2 underneath snake back around to the same place where the half inch overflow pipe goes?
If none of those were on, it would explain the fuel smell i had whenever i filled up n cornered hard but would it have had any other effects? Either way, my view is that dust has been able to get into the fuel tank so i have already ordered a replacement fuel filter, should i get another one of these black things? When i shake it i can hear something inside which im assuming is dirt... No fluid came out of it.
Any ideas?
just guessing , but an OLD ASSED FUEL FILTER ???
stroking is fine but id rather be blown
LOL! Yours is as good as mine champ... I was thinking it was a kind of filter or maybe an pressure equalizer or something?? F.I.I.K...![]()
vapor liquid separator, so you don't get raw fuel going up to the carbon canister basically
Am i correct in my assumption as to where the lines go?
It does in a way... Its a different diagram but i think im right in regards to where everything goes
That picture is great wamboin23 you dont have any info on where the lines go inparticular 19 and 14. refitted my tank and had a similar issue, the lines had perished but couldn't see exactly where they went or came from
Basically i got some high pressure fuel hose (was all i had int he workshop) and ran it from either side of the neck into that black seperator and then ran another 2 from the bottom next to the overflow to the tank. The Third line which is at the upper part of the neck runs down and links into the line which snakes around the wheel arch to the front of the fuel tank
