vs calais climate control troubles (not the relay)

ok so since day dot when i bought when i picked up the calais the climate control has been intermittantly been playing up where it will switch off when it wants even switches on when it wants.
the other week fan speed 2 kicked in for a few days then nothing for a whole day.
pressing buttons will not turn it on and im scared to turn it off incase i need to use the fan to demist the window
took it past the auto elec even he is stumped changed relay no difference it even played up for me which was good

i would love to find out what is going on so i can eventualy see bout getting the ac regassed and locating probs with that if any, i know the ac comp is not kickin in and the fan speed resistor is buggered

was it the lamp check relay he replaced? because that is the one that causes issues, and it is the pins in the relay block that need retensioning more than the relay itself.

no just swapped the ac relay with the hi beam relay is the check lamp relay the one in the fuse comp under the steering wheel?

nah in the under bonnet fuse box. small one, next to the fuel pump(?) relay.
