Hi two days ago i got mi car back from the mechanics that suppolsvly fixed the stalling issue...now today while i was driving my family around the car stalls while im driving...i changed the harmonic balancer and teh crank angle sensor...changed the fuel pump and the filter what else could be wrong?!
Could be the injectors I've just been having the same problem but looks like the filter fixed it, check for code errors
There's a forum on here some where that tells you how to check the codes
Here mate abit of reading but it is easy as you will be able to do it just read carefully.

Easy mate - just need a paper clip, bend it out in the shape of a big U then put each end in #5 & #6, so basically side by side.
If you open you open your door and look under the steering wheel then follow to the bottom of the dash, the connector will be there.
As soon as that is done, turn your ignition on and watch the engine light flash.
Use that link to follow what code it spits out... Let us no how you go mate
Like Fenix_Longbow posted easy as you can do it mate..
Just remember it will flash 3 times.
1 flash/2 flashes = 12
1 flash/2 flashes = 12
1 flash/2 flashes = 12
error code is ok.
then it might go
1 flash/3 flashes = 13
1 flash/3 flashes = 13
1 flash/3 flashes = 13
so error code 13 may be your problem.

If you just had the car at the Mechanic, take it back and calmly explain what happened, I would be surpised if they dont want to help.
If you have been reading this forum long, then you would realise that when a fault occurs, it "should" log a fault code in the cars computer, but this does not always happen, leaving the mechanic little to go by, other than your description of the problem.
I had a similar intermittant fault that was difficult to find, ended up being the DFI module (under the coil packs) if you know someone with an old commodore, then borrow the DFI/Coil pack for a week and see if the problem goes away. It is very easy to remove and replace.
Plug leads mainly play up under load (up a steep hill or towing). so I would htink if they were that buggered it would not run at all.
Has the IAC (Idle Air Control) been replaced? (It's a little motor that controls the idle)
I just checked for errors on my car and it was easy as, should give it ago only problem is with mine system check came back fine and my car is still cutting out
my mum had this problem. she had the fuel pump replaced twice and it turned out to be sand in the tank. did they clean out the tank when they changed the fuel pump? also does it splutter and then die or is it just like its running one min and then the next its gone?
While im driving the car decides to turn of i had to put mi hazziz pull over waited a bit then turned the car on again i did it like many times it nearly caused many accidents grr some mechanics are so darn lazy they dont go straight to the darn point....i wish i knew how to fix cars that way i could've fixed it miself .
Your 3 months 2 late I use to be in sydney if I was there now I'd fix it for stuff all
wat does it sound like to u heath? electrical or fuel? does it splutter at all and jerk around or does it just die and start slowing down?
Only other thing I could think of is the coil pack is about to die
yea could be that. but like i said we went thru 2 new pumps b4 the mechanic noticed soil in the tank
Better to flush the tank the pump and the entire fuel system
The mechanic said they installed a 2nd hand DFI module could that be the main cause? they alread replaced hte pump, crank angle sensor, harmonic balancer, major service....but they didnt change hte leads, rocker cover needs fixing the vally gasket needs replacing soon..man my ca has so many issues since i bought it of that guy![]()
