VR Engine swap now i have nothing?

as the title goes, swapped the engine over as i had a spun main bearing. would still start with the old engine in. and the new engine was taken out
after i had seen and heard it going in the other car so i know it runs.

but now i get nothing, no lights, no stereo.. nothing... nothing electrical will work. turn the key and nothing.
have checked as many things as i could, battery, fuses, plugs etc but cant figure it out.
really need some help.

Is the battery dead? Start with the small and simple things first...

battery was dead, so tried jump starting and had nothing so took the battery out of my falcon and put it in and still nothing.
battery out of the falcon is fine.

Is the negative lead hooked up properly

Sounds as simple as somethign not hooked up. If you have NO power to ANYTHING, well id start with the battery and all connections that power these things.

Not sure on a VR, but VS has a 2 part engine harness. 1 main plug cluster to the ECU and the other to the battery and all the fuses.

Get a multimeter or test light and start tracing your missing volts

both earths, 1 on the engine block near the drivers side engine mount, the other going straight to the body near the battery?

there are actually 2 earths on the engine block itself. one above the other. and all it takes is one missed wire and boom you have no electricery

meant the 2 main earth's from the negative terminal, the 2 other's near the water pump won't effect having no lights etc on the car just play havoc with the ecu and efi etc, engine will still turn over if they're lose just not run.

to have no radio or lights, id be going for main fuse or you havnt connected all leads to posivive terminal.
