how many K's does it have on it?

if it has very good paint, low KM for its age etc you could get around 3K, as a guide I paid 3.5K for my VS nearly 2 years ago when it had 150000km, power windows/air/cruise factory FE2 IRS and very straight/good paint/panels

I paid $2700 for a near immaculate fully optioned totally stock VS Berlina a year ago on factory dual fuel. That was ebay though, I considered myself a bit lucky.

Mods wont increase the value in theory. In practice though, if the mods are exactly the ones that the buyer was planning to fit anyway, it may affect the price for that particular buyer.

For example, I'd have been happy to pay more if the exact body kit I wanted was already fitted and painted, but for others who dont like my bodykit the cars value would be lower instead of higher if it had already been fitted.

In QLD, I would say any car that has a current RWC supplied with it is worth 2 grand instantly. You buy a $1000 car, you will nearly always spend more than $1000 getting it past RWC.

I have a 95 VR Acclaim I am preparing for RWC right now, its completely stock as far as I can see though I suspect the engine has some internal mods because it goes a little too well. It has a little sun damaged paint and a dent in the bonnet. The odo shows 170k but it doesnt work it will be fixed but who knows how many k's its actually done... I'll be asking $2500 firm, with RWC and probably no rego.

Your car might be worth anything from 500 to 3500, it depends on whether you supplied it with whatever kind of roadworthy certificates your state uses, how clean it looks, how many k's it has and who it appeals to.

If you find a buyer that absolutely loves the car and it has exactly the mods they had planned for it etc.. you might get lucky and get good bickies for it. I'd consider 3500 to be as much as you could hope for if you get lucky with the right buyer, its more likely to be in the 2k range IF it is roadworthy.

devvo, here in adelaide they dont worry so much bout RWC apart from if ur picked up by the cops and they slap a defect sticker on ur car then depending on how bad the defect is you can just go to the local cop shop once fixed pay 40 bucks n away you go.

i really want to keep the car coz even as it is now, it still gets alot of looks from people and i have seen others that are really crap here in adelaide that sell for 2 easy,
but i think i would just keep it and put those mods i listed earlyer on it so i can upset a few more FORDS

coz my mate with a VS statesman dragged a VR with nothing but a stage 2 shift kit and it smashed him, even tho the stato is heavyer im happy with that

thanks for your oppinion guys it's much appreciated

oh and yeah she's done about 288,000kms so thats why i wanna fix most the running gear

all up it would all cost me about $2500 - $3000 for all that gear and fitted.

That is actually quite cheap... Thats just for the parts themselves.

I have spent more on my VR more than most probobly on here (except for the Hi-Po cars) and it owes me approx 8 grand now. ALL of that work has been done because it HAD to be done. The only mods i have done my self is the clear side indicators, MACE CAI, 70mm TB and Memcal.

So far my car has had this done:

-Fully rebuilt and toughened auto tranny
    -Corvette Servo
    -Stage 2 shift kit
-All CV joints and bearings: tailshaft etc
    -Rear axle seals and bearings
    -Modified Park brake
-Power steering rack, steering pump, fluid resevoir
-ALL bushes: including struts (Nolathane bushes all round)
    -All brake rotors/pads/fluid (now have slotted/bendix ult/Dot 5.1)
    -Fuel pump
    -Harmonic Balancer
    -Heater tap
    -Heater core
    -Radiator (larger)
    -Inlet manifold gasket
    -Harmonic balancer
-Leads and plugs (Top gun 10mm spiral/Irridium plugs)
    -PWR Transmission cooler

**I think thats about it. I maye have missed some but i only run my car on 98ron fuel and use a bottle of injector cleaner every month. Even after all of this, i doubt my car would be worth much more than 3k

far out thats alot of stuff done, yeah it's fair cheap but i like to call it inexpensive lol.
if i do all that stuff to mine ill just feel like keeping it, does it put ya back in ur seat with the shift kit?
i definantly need to get trans done as a put the foot down at the lights yesterday and half way through 1st is just let go and revved it's guts out, so backed it off n it was fine again.
