    Default Tear in Sunvisor

    hey quick question.

have a small rip in my sunvisor.
bought a new one (ebay.. so 2nd hand) and for the price i thought it was worth it.
it also has a little, like 4mm rip in it... (in the one i hoped wouldnt have a rip! =P)
its not worth sending back. would cost me more to send it back then it would to get the money back.
so thinking of a bit of DIY as i have some spare time now.

now would it be easier to fix up the one with about a 10mm rip in the middle part.
or the one with the rip near the part where it screws into the roof?

and what could i use to fill it?
was thinking whiteout, or spak filler. but it may be a little off colour.
    maybe wood putty?

    any help would be awesome.

    Thanks
how about we make the pedals out of sticky rubber and the shoes with steel spikes. at least my shins would like that

Personally I would take a picture of it and email the seller saying item is not as described and you want your money back or will be putting a complaint in with ebay. If they want it back then the seller can pay for post

    Live and learn eh?
I'd probably use a tiny dab of 5min araldite under the 4mm split to stop it growing any further. Push the split together while it drys.
(and try a wreckers next time where you can sight the parts before paying)

    thanks for that savvy.
ill have to give it a go this weekend.
might even try finding the same colour to match it up.

and yeah live and learn. but for the price im not bothered by it. (seriously, wasnt even like $25 all up with postage. thats less then a wreckers)
as i said id love to do some DIY. ie retrimming them.
so if anyone has done that before it would be great to learn. and great to customise the car a bit =P
the current tear in the one in the car atm hasnt grown since i got it. so i doubt it will go any further.

and i really cannot be bothered taking pics and sending it back etc.
as that isnt how i am =P
really cannot be stuffed spending my time over compaining about something that meanial.

    so back to question.
anyone know how to retrim the visors?
i dont mind if it takes a few weekends (seeing i have a 2nd set. same as when i did engine/rocker covers)
maybe even if i do a black with chrome stitching. and do headliner in black? or just go stock colours?

may also go and see the local upholsterer on the weekend.
see what he has to say.
