    Default over heating problem ?

    I have an over heating problem... car ( when cold ) goes all the way to hot beeps and shit so i pull over turn it off turn it back on it will be fine for a few hours then will do it again... any1 have any clues ? radiator fine, hoses are fine dont know what else ayy

    Hows the radiator level? Dont use the overflow as a guide.

    @ xcler8.., it gets hot fairly quickly, maybe 10 mins of driving and it hits red and beeps... and ill turn it off turn it back on and it will be fine.. than fan sometimes comes on at halfway if not when its a little bit hotter it will come on...

    @Wombles... Radiator fluid is fine checked that and its all good..

    @Not_An_Abba_Fan... yea im gonna change thermostat tonight...see if that helps

    i agree with all the boys man,you could try bridging the fan relay fuse with a wire but only if ya got some sort of idea because u could blow a fuse, i dnt think it is but check your engine oil an if its a milky white colour then youve blown a head gasket, take out the thermostate and replace the radiator cap, an if it still overheats then check the water pump, make sure u dnt cook it man or you'l crack ya heads then theres an unnessecary muckaround when all u needed to do was pull over, if none of those then replace radiator,,,,

    well went to change my thermostat and my 10 minute job turned into a 2 day job, i snapped the bolts on the housing that go into the block.. so waiting on my mechanic mate to come over later today to get the bolts out... good fun!!
