My V6 was running smoothly yesterday, then 20 minutes later would not start. It cranks over, and has a spark. Eventually find no injector pulse.
The fuel pump is working. The imobiliser red LED has gone out. I checked fuses, swapped relays - no change.
So check for error codes, only get 12. Any suggestions (apart from PCM dying)? I presume if crank angle sensor were defective, it should flag an error code.
One thing, when trying to start, I hear a faint chirping sound in the engine bay. I never noticed this before.

If CAS was faulty, there would also be no spark.

Just had a quick look at the circuit and there is an EFI Relay and Fuse to check first.

I have a vr v6 too, and exactly the same thing happened to me. All I had to do to rectify problem was turn ignition on, leave it on for 2 minutes then start it (without turning ignition off then back on) My problem was memcal related.... Good luck.

i would go for a cas or a dfi under the coils first they can go and you still get spark but the ecu doesnt get a signal
