Sometimes when I drive in my VS, even after an hour or so on the road, my fuel and temp gauges stay at the bottom, as if the car is off.

Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Cheers
Nath

normally fuel and temperature gauges are controlled by a voltage stabilizer, it their the problem the instruments need to come out and go to a specialist to repair.

sometimes .......but it is more likely to be the needles stuck to the stops...slight tap on dash above gauge and they spring into life.

Try this!

Well I have had enough of lightly tapping (thumping) on top of my dash. :D

So I pulled it apart and think I have a solution so documented it.

I found a PCB but there were no dry joints on it. I have more photos of the PCB and speedo cause I pulled the whole thing apart if anyones interested but I only included whats necessary in my solution.

I dont know how to add this kind of thing to the site so put it up on a web page. If a moderator knows how go for it. I hold no intellectual rights to the material :D
