Code 31 - Anti-theft deterent signal missing

hey people just asking for your advice,
i ran the diagnostic check and returned codes 12 and 31
i read my book and it reackons its the antitheft deterent signal is missing, but i had a look when i did it the second time and its flashing normally? should i worry about this?

Just pop your bonnet and go to the fuse box near the battery terminal. Take off the black cover and remove the 20A fuse called 'engine'. Leave it out for about 10 seconds and put it back together. This will reset the engine fault codes. Check your fault codes again in a week and again in a month. If it comes up again then worry bout it. Does the little red light flash in your car?

ok cleaered code, will wait a week or 2

it indicates the ignition has been on & the key didnt disarm the theft deterrent.
normally means the key is on its way out.

I know this thread is old and i was searching. Could also be the slip ring. Mine has errant starts. Brand new key and Fob
