So the 2 x heater hoses come out of the head and go around the side where they hook up to a connector under the abs controller. It looks like this is where the heater controls the flow of hot water...

Anyways, I have a crack in the connector thingo (ehere the hose clamp holds it on), so need a new one - was just wondering what it's called ? and if it's the same whether climate control or regular heater fitted.

Also, if anyone has an idea on price so I know a ballpark - and is it available aftermarket ??

thanks a bunch guys!

Mate, it sounds like a heater vacuum switch thing...should have a skinny black rubber hose on it?

I replaced mine, cost about $70NZ, easy to do yourself........

Heater water valve. Think it was around $20-$30 from memory. The unit is the same whether you have climate control or not.

I've only known them as heater taps but hey we knew what you were on about, anyone you ask will too! Just priced one last week, $70 odd from repco. (holden was shut)

Thanks all

Heater Valve Assembly - $44 at holden. Figured I'd do a full Radiator flush, so I asked for the pellets - guy reckons don't bother, they are just a waste of money and they make the coolant look dirty.

So - the $8 question is - to pellet, or not to pellet?

I know this has been discussed many times before, but there ya go.

You only need pellets for the V6 not for the V8.
