Shaking in the centre!!!! HELP

hey guys

i picked up my VR SS on sat, all was going good

untill last night, i was cruising with a mate of mine, and decided to give it a lil hit, put my foot down (auto) was picking up speed then out of no were i felt a big ratteling under my centre console, felt like something was shaking and hitting just under my centre console.

i stopped and put my foot down same thing!

this morning on my way to work and it was a lil wet, i accelerated got a lil wheels spin and the same thing as last night just not as bad as my foot wasn to the floor.

any ideas wat this could be??

and roughly how much to repair??

please help guys!!

my mate said it may be my drive train, or maybe my diff

could it be anything like that?

I had a similar vibration from my vk. turned out it was my engine mounts. wasn't stupidly expensive to fix. Id get that checked out first. Just my two cents

I'd check out the centre driveshaft bearing (I guess they have these on non-IRS as well...not sure...) if that's flogged its about $150 to get replaced.

Sounds like it could be the centre bearing in the tailshaft or uni joint.

is there any way i can get under the car and check the centre driveshaft bearing??

a strange one, i got a rattling noise and vibration of my hadbrake (when fuly down) when im just idleing along, i had a look and the hand brake is resting on ym exhaust :( gonna get it fixed soon
