engine keeps cuttin out

when i drive down the road my engine cuts out and everything turns off but sometimes it will come back to life but most time it just turns off when this happens the engine light and batery light come on. would anyone know what causes this and know how to fix it

It could possibly be the CAS (crank angle sensor)

There was a whole thread in the VT section with several ppl having similar problem.

Search that forum and see if your problem matches.

It sounds exactally like what my car is doing today!! But I also had a code 42 chucked in there.

I had a similar problem about a year ago, I replaced my dodgy look'n battery terminal clamps. Have your done a self diagnostic test yet ? :thumbsup:

i have this same problem but i have already changed the crank angle sensor and the fuel pump and filter what else should i look at and how

i dont believe that is my problem but i checked it neway and it was fine. my car will start straight away after it has died.
