vr statesman security!!

hi,
i've got a 94 VR statesman and was wondering what the standars security is like in them(alarm,immobiliser etc). any info would be great!!! thanks!!

From memory the standard secuity system on the VR is quite advanced.

Dual tone horn siren (3 in total)
Engine imobiliser
Alarm zones for all areas incluiding bonnet entry and boot.
Dead lock facility on drivers door
Security coded radio

(much the same right thru to the VS etc which is what i have).
I wouldnt bother installing another brand of alarm, as GMH have managed to do an alright job as factory equipment., (personal opinion).

cool thanks for that!!! i wasn't sure what it was like and was thinking about putting an aftermarket alarm in but if the standard system is ok i don't think i'll worry about it!!!

yeah,the standard alarm is sweet...but if you did want to up the ante with security you could look at a better immobilizer.the factory one isnt exactly foolproof...
get urself a good three point immobilizer if u want that extra peace of mind.

i've got a metal jacket to put on my VP as one of these saved my brother in-laws VN calais.i've been told the VR's onwards have one standard is this true or were they pulling my leg???

yeah,i dont think so...as far as i know they're an aftermarket option,dont think the factory installed them standard
