fuel problem i think.

well i have a vs wagon most days it will start 1st click 100% normal but every now n then eg. last night last week it wont start or it'll start n choke cos not enough fuel is gettin though and it runs like a trackder for like 30 seconds then just dies i got the fuel pump done last week so i thought it would all be good now but as i said last night went to get in it to go out started was running ruff as put it in reverse and it just died then later on dad banged on my fuel tank with a rubber mullet n it started 1st click but wouldnt start for like an hour before he banged on my fuel tank have any ideas??? i was thinking maybe the filter but not to sure.....thanks..... :bang: :bang: :bang:

have u noticed less performance than usual?if not then its not ur fuel filter.im thinking it could be either a faulty isc sensor(idle speed control) or ur tps (throttle position sensor) or possibly ur ignition module

so how come it only does it sometimes like most of the time its fine then every now n then it decides to do this i havent had the car long only just over a month...... :bang:

Check for error codes. Check for loose fuel hose connections. Under the bonnet there is a hose from the fuel tank that can leak a little bit. Get your fuel system pressure tested, probably a small leak. The fuel lines do run at pressure so a small leak will drop off the pressure.

thanks for your help guys got it fixed a few days ago it when it wouldnt start was the wiring to the fuel pump :S thats y it was only happenin sometimes but thanks for the help :wave: :wave:
