Has anyone ever heard of Bi-tron? They've got lots of websites around the world, but I can't find any mention of them anywhere else. If you believe what they say they're amazing and will save you thousands a year.

I just thought I'd check and see if anyone here has heard of them before I fork out the big ones.

Thanks

P.S. their website is http://bi-tronaustralia.com/

Most if not all additives are not recommended by any car maker - in fact some makers say use of additives will void your warranty.
Always remember "there's a sucker born every day" - don't become one....and never believe everything you read. Oil additive companies are not out there to prolong engine life - they're out there to make money.
To find out about "fuel saving" ripoffs look at:

...oil additives are in the same boat.

Tried it :whistling

I believe it's calcium based. Not a big difference in the car motor but it probably wont do any harm. It did however make my power steering leak to the extent of having to replace the seals on the box and pump but these were definatly not new.

I have used it in a zero backlash gearbox that was very tight and it had the same affect as dropping in a teaspoon of graphite powder into the oil. It definatly made a difference in this application as I had an amp meter on the motor and it dropped the current required to drive it by about 8% and reduced the starting current by about 15%. It does however last quite a bit longer than the graphite. This style of gearbox (Worm & Worm wheel preloaded with a split worm) is sensitive to the type of oil used. I am not using it any more and probably wont in the future.

Spend the money you will be saving on a better quality oil as it will probably be better in the long run.
Cheers
