If you ever get pulled up you will get booked for removing the airbag. Apart from that I'd suggest going to your local library and looking at a VS manual on how to remove as it is not simple if you want to avoid big dramas.

You won't get booked because airbags were an option on all VS commodores, driver side airbags only became standard in the VT, so if the cop questioned you (unlikely) you could just say it was optioned up.

Disconnect the battery at the neg terminal.
Remove the srs system fuse (NO#8 from memory)
Disconnect the airbag connector.Should be the yellow one under the steering column.
Remove the 4 torx screws behind the steering pad
Remove horn pad & disconnect the wires at the steering column
At no time put yourself in front of the airbag in case of accidental discharge.

IM pretty sure it will make your car un-roadworthey if they were to pull you over, sounds stupid, but its like a kingswood with a benchseat, then putting buckets in it.. I hate my steering wheel as well, iv someone can find out it'd be sweet

:drink: :drink: cheers mate glad u could help

Dont worry guys i'm not gonna get booked for removing the air bag steering wheels because i've checked with queensland transport and they put me through to Vehicle modifications and they said the VS was optional with the steering as "Fitty" stated previously and my insurance told me it was all good to. So now all i got to do is find a steering wheel dat i like..but anyways thanks for your help guys much appreciated :drink: :drink: :yeah: :yeah:
