hey
just havin a bit of trouble trying to replace the cigarette lighter in my 97 vs.
i'm trying to replace the original one that was in there when i got it, with one i bought, but they are pretty different, the original is one with 2 wires coming off the base and plugs into a plastic connection. where as the one i bought only has one wire and has no where to connect, apparently it has no earth wire or something. i think it may be better just to order the right one from holden. just wondering if anyone with a better idea than i do can tell me what i need to do
cheers

replacing which part? The actual lighter bit, or the bit it sits in?
You need to give heaps more information about what your stuck on. Is it the physical size or electrical connection or what. A pic would be nice to. Your never going to get a good answer unless you ask the right question. Are you replacing it with an identical cigarette lighter or a different type? The identical one is fairly straight forward, just got a screw on the back of it holding it on.
I replaced mine (the ciggie lighter housing) with one that had only one place for a wire.. you use that and then the earth goes on the base of the housing somewhere, try and find something to twist the wire around or solder to...
Thats if they are of similar design... i bought mine from super cheap...
