my old man had vt upgrade brakes put on his vs a while bak, and hes got a proclem.
the brakes are growling like hell when there unda braking, we have been tolld its because the master cylinder is 2 small, this was done when the vts first came out so nobody know 2 swap master,

so my question is wat should he do,
swap brakes bak 2 factory 1 spot or replace master cylinder/bosster?

hes spend proberly a grand + trying 2 fixx it and hes down 2 his last resort swap.

and wat would work out cheaper?

Upgrade to a 1" master, should fix your problem. Have heard that it may also be necessary to upgrade your slave cylinder.

No matter what master cylinder you are using it should not cause a "growling" noise. I'd be closely inspecting the pads and discs for problems. Does the car have ABS?

no abs
bought bout 6 differant set of pads new discs and still growls :(

we were tolld by a mechanic it would be the booster and master cylinder its got only 2 valves in the currnt 1 (vs) and the vt had 3, which ment it wasnt pushn enuf fuild round to the breaks and there isn enuf pressure,

the thing about the valves in the booster/master cylinder could this b the cause or would it b the size

and what would work out cheaper? swap bak to vs breaks or replace the master cylinder/booster

There are a number of threads on this forum which discuss fitting VT brakes to VS and what can and cannot be done. From memory, the later VS master cylinder was OK with the VT brakes as it has a larger bore (I think). If the master cylinder isn't pumping out enough fluid/pressure then the only result should be poor braking....not "growling".
You should do a proper search on this forum...try "VT to VS brakes" etc.
