overheating!!!

disconnected the radiator hose, and the 2 heater inlet and outlet hoses...... of course some coolant ran out but not heeps....anyways reconnected it all started the car gave it a few revs and took it for a test run and within under 5 mins it shot upto the red line on the heater indicator thingy in the car...
any ideas why??? :cry:

you emptied the motor to below the thermostat level.
you really should make sure that there is sufficient coolant before you do any driving or even just revving the motor.
you need to top up the system and bleed any air.

all fixed mate cheers :yeah:
u were right it was the coolant which i doubted cos only like i litre if that came out anywyas all fixed
