hey guys im in the process of swapping my vr motor with a vs ecotec....

the engine is in but had sum problems with fitting the extractors n its still not finished yet..


mechanic said it needs auto electrician 2 re-wire the thing

is it really that bad?

has any1 experienced this before/

i mean yer well why would u really want to bother for an extra 7kw, there basicly the same engine so if there both from the same models (exceutive) then theres fuk all wiring crap u need to just hook up the comp and if its not sitting properly then its sumthin u have done cause VR an VS are the basicly the same front end, not to sure bout a V8 but yer kinda a waste of time :p

its a rebuilt engine with a fair bit of work done 2 it.......so its worth it

yer well that would be very kool when its done ppl open up ya bonnet and say what the f@ck i thought this was a VR :p

The ecu & wiring are different as the ecotec is sequential injection & the buick isnt. The easy way would be to get the engine loom & ecm from the wreckers.
