is it a manual or auto?
with a manual you just unscrew it to the left
with a auto i believe you just pull it up but i am not 100% sure
you shouldnt need to remove gear knob because the suround can be manuroured around so that it goes over the auto knob and then the rest of the consoule unscrews and comes out. all that will need to be done to the auto selector is mabey have to move it in to 1st.

Manual? should either unscrew (the whole knob) or lever up. Auto? wouldnt have the foggiest, but it can't be too difficult.

Remove the top of the console shift panel. This will give enough room to get the console over the shifter. I am sure you need to pry the cover up from the rear. Then turn it 90deg to get it over the shifter. The rest is straight forward.

auto knob.. pull the bottom of it back away from the pole bit and pull it upwards at the same time... will take a fair bit of force and a bit of a jiggle but it'll come off eventually
