using auto dropping back to first

I went for a cruise one night then decided to drop it back to first and just gun it and in second it got to redline and just stopped, I thought that the lil computer was meant to be WTF mate and change up for me or is that only from first to second or is mine just ****ed?

Never done it my my VS stato 5 litre, but I've read somewhere that it's s'posed to drop it into 2nd for you to prevent engine damage...

it like hit a limiter and didn't go up into 3rd so I just let off the gas and put it back into drive

1st to 2nd is done automatically by the ECU, 2nd to 3rd has to be done manually. That's when the rev limiter kicks in, to stop engine damage. :thumbsup:

ok thanks I was hoping that it wasn't meant to happen so that means nothign wrong I just don't know enough. It was weird hitting the rev limiter though just stop aceleration you can feel it a great deal.
